Gender Diversity in the Workplace
Strong practices for supporting trans, non-binary, & Two-Spirit clients and colleagues.
This training is great for organizations who are in the beginning phases of learning about gender diversity, or who want to complement work that is already underway. Through self-reflection, scenarios, and visioning exercises, we’ll explore gender-affirming practices that will improve service provision, staff engagement and retention, and community relationships.
In this training, participants will:
- Explore a framework for understanding gender beyond the binary
- Develop an understanding of how of sex, gender, and orientation impact employee and client experiences
- Learn how to identify barriers and create dignifying work environments, partnerships, and services
- Practice gender-affirming language and strategies for liaising with co-workers, partner companies, clients, and community members
