Ambit consultant and blogger
Hi there!
My name is Whitney! I’ve been living on the island (specifically on Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ territories) since I was in high school. I have over ten years of experience working with LGBTQ2+ -centred organizations, getting my start as a volunteer (and later, Coordinator) at UVic Pride. Currently, I am employed as a representative of Trans Care BC at Foundry Victoria, offering peer support and advocacy to Two-Spirit, trans, and gender-diverse youth. I am also attached to Saanich Parks and Rec, working with their two weekly social drop-ins for LGBTQ2+ teens. My time with Ambit has been mostly focused on providing resources and trainings to youth service providers, such as School District 61 and Crystal Pool, though I welcome any opportunity to meet with members of our awesome community. I also provide some written content for Ambit’s blog.
I look forward to meeting with you soon! I believe that our work with Ambit is a great opportunity to bring people together in a way that’s empowering and accessible, and I always enjoy building community with our amazing clients.
